When Tradition Kills

A musical love story depicting the emotional journey of Anita - the protagonist, against the backdrop of a serious social issue.

Anita is in love with Raj, the son of millionaire Seth Desai. Soon after marriage a work related assignment takes Anita away from Mumbai to a beautiful village. Raj reluctantly agrees to this separation.

Anita develops an emotional bond with Radha, her caretaker at the rest house in the village. Radha unexpectedly delivers at home and the truth surrounding the practice of female infanticide, in this case practiced by Radha's husband Gangaram is concealed by the system.

Anita rallies to expose the truth. Her victory in bringing Gangaram to justice is overshadowed by the social isolation experienced by Radha and her daughters.

Anita in turn has her own challenges and faces the loss of Raj.
